Business license application procedures made easy, faster

Shanghai will simplify and shorten the procedures for business license application to optimize the business environment. It will take an enterprise a minimum of only two days to start operation after it submits the application, according to the city’s market supervision authority.

Multiple matters of business license application can be handled at a one-stop service platform that will save time for companies. The approval time for business license application will be cut from three working days to one day this year.

Enterprises can get their business licenses, official seals and invoices on the same day after the application is approved.

The city’s market supervision authority will later launch an online application service platform which allows enterprises to finish the whole application procedure without going to relevant service centers.

Besides, electronic business licenses will also be issued and enterprises can download their licenses on the smartphone app at any time.
