“Latin America Bridge” service platform officially launched in Jinan, Shandong

The “Latin America Bridge” service platform, led by the Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government, was launched on August 26, 2020 in Jinan, capital of Shandong Province. More than 50 representatives from Latin American and Caribbean Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Institute of Latin American Studies of CASS, Shandong Sub-council of CCPIT, Shandong Provincial Department of Justice, Shandong Provincial Department of Financial Regulation, universities and social organizations in Jinan, municipal foreign affairs offices, and 34 enterprises in Latin America, attended the launch ceremony.

With rich resources, broad market and huge development potential, Latin America is highly complementary to the economy and society of Shandong province, which is of great significance to better serve Shandong to build a new highland for opening up and develop an open economy.

The Latin America Bridge service platform aims to give full play to the social functions and resource advantages from all walks of life, boost the communication between governments and enterprises, cooperation between colleges and enterprises, and cooperation among enterprises, and help Shandong enterprises in Latin America to join hands and develop together, by holding special activities of serving enterprises, such as policy interpretation, resource sharing, and providing intellectual support.

At the launch ceremony, the participants adopted the Consensus on Cooperation among Members of Latin America Bridge, expressing the common aspiration to pool wisdom, seek win-win development and jointly write a new chapter of pragmatic cooperation between China and Latin America.
