Shandong to build transport network of Huai River Ecological Economic Belt

In 2020, Shandong provincial government has raised 5.58 billion yuan to support the construction of transportation infrastructure in Zaozhuang, Jining, Linyi and Heze, which are included in the Huai River Ecological Economic Belt.

In terms of high-speed railway construction, the province has raised 1.9 billion yuan to support the construction of the Qufu and Heze sections of Lunan High-speed Railway,thus accelerating the development of Lunan High-speed Railway economic belt.

In terms of optimizing the layout ofthe highway network, Shandong has raised 2.83 billion yuan to support the maintenance and construction projects of 38 national and provincial railways and the construction of rural railways, including Dongming junction of Shandong and Henan section of the G106 Beijing-Guangzhou line.

In the terms of aviation infrastructure construction, the province has raised 370 million yuan to support the construction of new airports in Heze and Linyi, and the renovation of facilities of Jining Airport, so as to enhance the radiation capacity to surrounding areas.

In terms of inland waterway transport, 480 million yuan has been raised in the province to support the level raising and waterway renovation of Beijing-Hangzhou Canal, to further improve the inland waterway transportation capacity.
