Shandong ranks among top 10 provinces with best business environment

On Nov. 1, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce released the main conclusion of the work of “Ten Thousand Private Enterprises’ Evaluations of Business Environment” at 2020 China (Wenzhou) New Era “Two Health” Forum held in Wenzhou, China's Zhejiang province. According to the survey, the top 10 cities with the best business environment are Hangzhou, Shanghai, Suzhou, Nanjing, Beijing, Wenzhou, Ningbo, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Chengdu. The top 20 provinces and provincial-level cities with the best business environment are Zhejiang, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Beijing, Shandong, Sichuan, Fujian, Hebei and Hunan.

Private enterprises are significantly more satisfied with the business environment than last year.

Under the 100-point system, the sample enterprises grade their cities an overall score of 74.46 for their business environment, 81.44 for their legal environment and 77.56 for their market environment, increasing by 16.5 scores from last year.

The assessment of business environment in 2020 is particularly difficult because of the outbreak of COVID-19. It is also because of this outbreak that private enterprises have a deeper understanding of the local business environment, especially the governments’ efforts in supporting their work.
