Qingdao to focus on the development of 10 new industries to build a modern industrial system

In order to build a modern industrial system that can compete in the global arena, the Office for Building the Comprehensive Pilot Zone of the Transformation of Old and New Driving Forces in Qingdao, Shandong recently issued the Opinions on Qingdao's Development of New Industries and Cultivation of New Driving Forces.

The Opinions proposed that Qingdao will, actively following the new trend of technological revolution and industrial transformation, focus on the development of 10 new industries, including digital industry, integrated circuits, ultra-high-definition video, robotics, hydrogen energy, new materials, medical care and health, marine technology, film and television culture, and new finance.

By 2022, significant results are expected to be achieved in industrial development, enterprise cultivation, and application demonstrations, with five new industries of 30-50 billion formed, and a number of innovative enterprises emerging with strong competitiveness.
