2021 Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention on Technology Innovation and Cooperation kicks off in Jinan

On May 19, the 2021 Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention on Technology Innovation and Cooperation kicked off in Jinan. The convention is jointly hosted by the United Front Work Department of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, the CPC Jinan Municipal Committee and Jinan Municipal People’s Government, and the CPC Yantai Municipal Committee and Yantai Municipal People’s Government.

With the theme of “Summon new driving forces and facilitate the new development pattern”, the convention will last for 4 days, and will be held through a combination of online and on-site channels. More than 200 well-known Chinese entrepreneurs and professionals from 35 countries and regions participated in the convention to discuss innovation, entrepreneurship, cooperation and development.

At the opening ceremony, a project signing ceremony was held and 34 cooperation agreements were reached, with a total investment of 26.959 billion yuan, of which 20.62 billion yuan was invested by overseas Chinese entrepreneurs, and projects in line with the “top ten” industries in Shandong accounted for 76.5% of the total number of signed projects. After the opening ceremony, policy promotion and project release, project negotiation and matchmaking, and field inspection, among other activities, will also be held.

The Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention on Technology Innovation and Cooperation is an investment, talents and technology attracting event initiated by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, for overseas Chinese to participate in China’s industrial restructuring and technological innovation, and promote the win-win cooperation between Chinese entrepreneurs and the business community in China.
