2020 Huawei Qingdao Summit of Industrial Internet held in Qingdao High-tech Zone

On the morning of Sept. 16th, the 2020 Huawei Qingdao Summit of Industrial Internet was held in the Huawei Qingdao Base in Qingdao High-tech Zone. Li Hongyan, director of the Management Committee of Qingdao High-tech Zone, Liu Shaohua, Vice President of Huawei Cloud China, Qingdao High-tech Zone Young Entrepreneurs Association, representatives of enterprises and Qingdao-Huawei ecological partner attended the summit.

On the summit, Li Hongyan first offered congratulations on the summit’s successful launch in Qingdao High-tech Zone, and extended his gratitude to those who had long supported the development of Qingdao High-tech Zone. Li said that since the beginning of this year, faced with the impact of the pandemic the and the pressure of a downward economy, Qingdao High-tech Zone comprehensively optimized service to enterprises, overcame the bottleneck in transport and strove to improve the quality of the city. The joint effort of government and companies has achieved remarkable results, with every economic indicators ranking high in the city in the first half of the year.

Liu Shaohua said that its had been four years since Huawei and Qingdao jointly established the cloud innovation center of software development in 2016. With the strong support of the Management Committee of Qingdao High-tech Zone and relevant departments, up to now, Huawei Qingdao Base has helped realize cloud development for a total of over 5000 developers, and cloud practical training for a total of over 12.000 students; helped reducing companies’ R&D costs by 28%, increasing R&D efficiency by 18%.

On the summit, Li, Liu and representatives of entrepreneurs together unveiled the three-generation upgrade of Huawei Qingdao Exhibition Center. Professional experts made keynote speeches on industrial internet, artificial intelligence, Huawei ecological cooperation, etc., and had in-depth exchanges with guests to the summit.
