Five cities of Jiaodong Area sign agreement on integrated marine economic development

On the afternoon of September 21, the administrative departments of marine economy of Qingdao, Yantai, Weihai, Weifang and Rizhao signed the Cooperation Agreement on the Integrated Development of Marine Economy in the Five Cities of Jiaodong Area. Shandong Marine Economic Groups’ Alliance, the country’s first non-profit alliance of regional marine economic group, was launched at the same time.

According to the agreement, the five cities will carry out cooperation in eight fields following the principle of co-discussion, co-construction and co-sharing, including jointly building an opening-up and cooperation platform, jointly building a marine factor market, promoting the integration of financial services, promoting the integration of marine scientific research services, promoting the integration of coastal tourism, building a marine industrial development alliance, strengthening the construction of a marine big data public service platform, and promoting the comprehensive management of ocean-related affairs. The cooperation will help to build a regional marine economic development community with complete cooperation mechanism, efficient flow of factors, strong development vitality and significant radiation effect.
