Cocoon Networks is bringing London Tech Week to China

Cocoon Networks and its Founder and CEO John Zai are bringing London Tech Week to China in May of this year, in collaboration with KNect 365 and London & Partners! Cocoon Networks has two major London Tech Week-style events scheduled for the official launch which will take place in Shanghai and Shenzhen. 
 
London Tech Week is Europe’s largest technology convention. In 2017, the event-packed week covered all the hottest tech topics such as 5G, VR&AR, E-commerce, robotics, AI, Machine Learning, driverless cars, Cloud technology, software innovation, MedTech, GreenTech and many more. In 2017, London Tech Week welcomed 40,000 guests from more than 70 countries, doing justice to the event motto #LondonisOpen. The LTW launch in China promises to further Cocoon Networks’ mission of strengthening China-UK business relations in the tech and innovation sector. With a wealth of founding experience behind him, John Zai, who is both the Founder & CEO of Cocoon Networks as well as the Founder & Chairman of Tech Shanghai Advocates, Global Tech Advocates’ first landing point in China, is thrilled to introduce the established LTW brand to Chinese audiences:

The London-based Sino-British business and investment platform Cocoon Networks and the London Tech Week brand have collaborated successfully for the past two years. In 2017 Cocoon Networks was LTW’s leading partner and throughout the event week Cocoon Networks powered the China-UK Hi! Tech Festival, London’s largest Sino-British tech event during LTW. For 2018, Cocoon Networks supports LTW as a stream sponsor and will be hosting the third annual China-UK Hi! Technology Festival at its headquarters at 4 Christopher Street, London.

The two major LTW launch events will take place in Shanghai, May 15th-16th 2018, and in Shenzhen, May 17th-18th 2018.

Themed around the Sino-British tech industry and its wealth of talent and innovation, the events will be conducted in true LTW fashion, featuring keynote speeches and panel discussions on the topics of Fintech & Blockchain, Cloud Computing, Smart City, Entrepreneurs & Innovation, RegTech & The Buy Side to China, Capital & Global Technological Innovation, Unicorn companies and the Future Impact of Artificial Intelligence.
The event will also see a TechExpo Exhibition area focused on AR/VR, AI, Robotics, Fintech & Blockchain, IoT, Cloudtech, Smartcity, Software Innovation and Gaming, a one-on-one matchmaking area, a VIP Lounge with musical entertainment and a Gala dinner.

Furthermore the Cocoon Networks team are planning to host media workshops and a Global Start-up Demo Contest of which the top winning teams will be granted the opportunity to pitch at the China-UK Hi! Technology during LTW 2018 in London. Topically, the Shenzhen and Shanghai launch events will be strongly centred on China-UK trade, AI investment, China-British Tech Firms and Global Market Competitiveness.

Cocoon Networks anticipates to welcome delegates from both China and the UK from academia, finance, tech and the government, i.e. representatives of the British Consulate General in Shanghai, The Shanghai Yangpu District, the Department for International Trade, London & Partners, the Science and Technology Commission Shanghai, the Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park as well as many tech thought leaders and entrepreneurs from both the UK and China.
